ABOUT ME
meLODY M. ZHANG LMFT LPCC
I come from a Chinese-American family, and as an Asian-American therapist, I bring a culturally compassionate perspective to my work, navigating the nuances of intergenerational, interracial, and multicultural relationships with understanding and care. My path to becoming a marriage and family therapist was not linear and has included a mix of past work experiences in research and consulting, entrepreneurship, and ministry, within the United States and internationally. These experiences formed a deep appreciation for what it means to be human and led me towards devoting my life to honoring and supporting others through life’s challenges.
Because of my personal background, I am deeply passionate and committed to destigmatizing mental health support in the Asian American community, other marginalized spaces, and in faith communities. Fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese, I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where clients from all backgrounds feel heard, valued, and empowered.
